Scattered Strawberry Summer

We browsed huge vintage shop. We hardly ever buy anything but it's nice to browse and look at all the pretty things. Once we have a new place, we will surely come here for home decor stuff.  


It started pouring rain, that kind of rain that you only get in the summer. But as expected it stopped as quickly as it started.

After disappointing lunch we went to the shops, supposedly the sales have started but nothing interesting in the sale racks, I bought a few things that I', very happy with. I'll take pictures and post it next time.

I went to Brighton to do some shopping today. I only found out about Gay Pride after I bought the tickets and decided to go anyway. The train was full of 16 year olds, girls with skimpy outfits, boys talking loud and trying to be alpha male, god that was painful. The streets were crowded, I even had a glimpse of parade but I wasn't really interested in it, I've seen it before. On the flip side, the shops were deserted, except Primark of course, so it was a more pleasant experience than usual. I was disappointed with lack of summer sales, I only  bought  2 pairs of smart trousers.

Once I got back home by practically empty train, I  met my friend to have late lunch and ice cream on the beach. We laid down and chatted enjoying lovely sunshine. It was very relaxing afternoon and I enjoyed it very much. Except the pizza, it was disappointing. Also, tt the restaurant Italian waiter thought we were Greek,hah. My friend explained that she's Spanish and I'm Lithuanian. He couldn't believe I am Lithuanian and not from some Southern European country. We laugh it off, as usual, not the first time, went off to get ice cream, also Italian guy served us, thought I was Spanish. Dear oh dear. If only I'd learn to speak Spanish fluently and I could actually to play these kind of situations. That would be quite fun.

I had an interesting weekend. In Friday after work I went out with my colleagues. At first it was a bit boring, the middle part was so much fun, but eventually people got too drunk to have a sane conversation with them and I was getting up early the next day, so I left. I wish I listed to my instincts and took my friend home but I didn't and she got into a bit of trouble, nothing major, but it would have been best to avoid that situation. Anyway, the next morning I went to Brighton to meet my friend who has been living in London for awhile but hasn't been anywhere else. She liked Brighton, it's very different to London but sadly it wasn't the best day to visit Brighton. Refuse collectors are on strike so the city was in a bit of mess. On a more positive note, there were so many street musicians, it created quite a lovely atmosphere.


    We had lunch in the place I usually go, I can't remember what it's called but they have a all you can eat buffet for £4.5 and mostly vegetarian food,including a variety of pizzas. Yum.

It still very cold here in England, it actually snowed yesterday! This year we're having unusually long and cold winter, but so does the rest of Europe or so I hear. It's April tomorrow and usually it would be pretty much t-shirt weather, not this year!..

On my 4th day off I went to Brighton by train with my significant other. It reminded me why I hate public transport- screaming and crying children. It makes me so maaaad. I'm astonished that parents never discipline their children and just let them do whatever. I wish supernanny was there to deal with them.
