Our walk was cut short as it got really chilly. So we went to one of our favourite places to have a hot drink & a snack - Neate's Cakery.

The long awaited snow has finally showed up in Eastbourne. While other parts of UK were enjoying it since Friday, we only got some proper snow today. It's quite lovely to have some snow for a change. Although it's not funny anymore how UK can't cope with so little snow.

Weekends always seem to last a second, one blink and it's Sunday evening and I'm already dreading Monday morning.
In my bid to be more productive & use my time efficiently, I should really start getting up earlier on weekends. Today I got up just before 12.00 which is incredibly late considering it's already dark around 16.00! However, sleeping habits are quite hard to change but I'll try my best.
In other news, I finally got tickets to Dusseldorf, I'm going to spend there a week, I plan to visit Luxembourg and Brussels if all goes well. The tickets were incredibly cheap, I think I'll do that a lot more often! Especially because accommodation will cost me nothing. I think I'll buy loads of my favourite chocolate whilst I'm there. I really can't wait for this trip! I haven't booked our holiday in Menorca yet, but I will do soon. This is going to be a good year, my chums.
And here is a silly picture of me wearing my lovely hat & my boyfriend's jumper.
I think I should start shopping in men's section, they've got pretty awesome clothes

Today I've received a belated birthday present, Consulting Scarecrow Throw Pillow, which if you cannot tell is Sherlock. It's bigger than you'd think & it matches my "I heart moustache" cushion.
I'm quite pleased with it, although I wish it looked more like Sherlock

Me & my friends always tease our lovely friend Marta about her new relationship which is becoming serious very rapidly. We're always say we need start looking for bridesmaid dresses for their wedding. As she's currently away with the future groom, we thought to take this to the next level. We went to Debenhams & found matching dresses &sent the picture to her. These were the best we could find, to be honest the choice was really appalling but we didn't have time to go to any other shop.
Anyway, I have bet Marta that her boyfriend will propose to her by the end of October. I think I've got good chances of winning. She has already asked me to be her wedding photographer. Better start improving my skills then...

I thought I'll introduce you to an amazing artist who you're probably not aware of - Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis. He's my favourite Lithuanian artist. I love the range of colours he used and the world he created in his paintings.
Extract from Wikipedia:
Mikalojus Konstantinas ÄŒiurlionis (Polish: MikoÅ‚aj Konstanty Czurlanis), also known as M. K. ÄŒiurlionis (22 September [O.S. 10 September] 1875 –10 April [O.S. 28 March] 1911) was a Lithuanian painter and composer. ÄŒiurlionis contributed to symbolism and art nouveau and was representative of the fin de siècle epoch. During his short life he composed about 250 pieces of music and created about 300 paintings. <...> ÄŒiurlionis was a musical prodigy: he could play by ear at age three and could sight-read music freely by age seven.<...> ÄŒiurlionis felt that he was a synesthete; that is, he perceived colors and music simultaneously. Many of his paintings bear the names of musical pieces:sonatas, fugues, and preludes.
Some of my favourite paintings:
More paintings can be found here. As I said before, he was also a composer, search for him on youtube, there are plenty of his works on there.

Happy New Year my chums
- to read more books
- to get a better, preferably graduate level, job
- to take more pictures & experiment more
- to use my time more efficiently
I would love to go away somewhere nice for my next birthday & New Year's Eve, if we can afford it. You see, I have planned 2 trips already. This spring I'm planning to go to Germany to visit my mother who has recently moved back to a town near Dusseldorf. Quite a few relatives of mine live there too, so it would be fun to see them as well. I also want to visit Dusseldorf & Koln. I've been there when I was a teenager, I actually spent 2 summers in Dusseldorf, but I didn't see that much.
In summer we're planning to go to Menorca for a week or so. Sun, sand & sea: I can't wait!
Let's make this year best ever
