I got myself a step counter, there were cheaper alternatives but the reviews were very poor so I opted for more expensive one. It's only second day I had it, I am at 9840 at the moment, so yes I hope to reach 10000 before midnight! It was easy today because I was out and about with my friend, went to Neate's Cakery and then we went to the shops, but I think to reach 10000 on a work day will prove to be difficult but I hope this will push me to be more active.
This lovely pedometer shows distance walked, calories burnt, fat burnt and it has 7 day memory. I might make myself a spreadsheet to keep track of my progress.

Just one day to go and I'm off! When I'm back, I have quite a few things to do, I will go to London a couple times for meetings and training, I was asked to take pictures again, possibly all day, not sure, haven't been given much information on it.Also, I was put forward by my manager to get involved in a project which might be quite interesting, not sure yet what exactly it entails. Lots of things happening at work, changes ahead, some positive, some less so, we'll just wait and see how it will affect us.

Another message from Mr Cumberbatch.
I really wander how many people are aware of what's happening? It doesn't seem to be covered much in the media and I only know about this because I'm on reddit where it's widely discussed. So much respect for Benedict for bringing attention to this, celebrities usually avoid making strong political points for fear of loosing some of their fans.
I'm very disappointed with UK government, how is it different from any other fascist government? They cannot pretend anymore that we live in a democratic country with free media.

Yes, that's how my typical weeks feels like. It's been quite tough past few weeks at work, a few people are off, our workload has increased massively. On positive side... Only three days till I'm off for 10 days!!. I will go to Germany to visit my family, this time I will take my SO with me. I hope for a good weather so I am able to relax in my parents' garden or in the park nearby.
If I am going to Germany this often, maybe I should learn German. Or maybe I'll just wait till my little cousins' English improve.

The funniest moment in True Blood series finale. What does a viking vampire do when he's able to daywalk?Sunbath & read a book naked in snow in his native Sweden.
Anyway, I think we can all agree, that this finale was a bit disappointing:
- Alcide& Sookie getting together
- Anticlimatic death of Warlow and deus ex machina, Niall
- Eric only appearing for a short moment throughout the whole episode and possibly dying
- Zombie vampires

Hello my chums. Remember the time I said I took pictures at a small local event? Well, my picture was used on the front of quarterly newsletter that will be distributed to 1200 local households!
That's nice of course, but the quality of the newsletter is pretty poor so I shouldn't get too excited about this. But it's still nice. yep. But they really should to hire a graphic designer for that newsletter. Just sayin'

On the set of new Sherlock series:
Not sure, if it's Benedict himself, though it sure looks like him, doesn't matter, the message gives media and people something to think about- Saturday, August 17, 2013

It's August. It can only mean one thing- for a few days Eastbourne becomes a buzzing city.
The weather was disappointing, ie things as usual, but it still was a fun day.
We started day early and went to South Downs. A nice view from there but visibility was quite limited.
Not sure if these people got to see much of those planes, the "stage" was by the pier, quite a distance from here.
After a lovely lunch at The Kiosk, we went to town to watch the planes.
Just a couple watching the planes, I thought they looked rather cute.
Show was good, but it's the same every year, but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. Especially when it looks like the planes are going to collided and yet they don't.
Tomorrow is the final day, I might go to see the fireworks but I don't think I want to see or hear any more planes. At least until next Airbourne...

My So recently developed interest in Richard Dawkins's work. We've watched so many of his debates and interviews. These can be rather entertaining but sometimes just infuriating (E.G. Wendy Wright's interview).
I quite liked this one:
If that was a bit too much for you, here is a very funny video of Richard Dawkins reading hate emails.
He's also on twitter, one of his tweets recently caused a storm and here is his answer to this.
I got my SO a copy of "The God Delusion" which I would strongly recommend to everyone, it will make you question your beliefs and your views on religion in general. If you already have reached the inevitable conclusion...you probably have read it.

We're having a prank war in office going. So in the picture you can see what we did to our colleagues desk as a revenge a while ago. Nicolas Cage everywhere you can think off, we printed hundreds of pictures, smaller and bigger. Nobody got it, but found it funny anyway. It's my colleagues turn, I'm waiting. waiting.

I spent my Saturday afternoon admiring fantastic views of South Downs and my town. It's not the area we usually go, we rediscovered this amazing place. I wish I had taken panoramic picture, it's breath taking. We're planning to have a picnic here before the summer ends.
Geez, my feet look so tanned, I even have tan lines from wearing sandals all the time, though you can't see them in this picture.
Sheep sheep everywhere...
That's sea in the distance

Once I got back home by practically empty train, I met my friend to have late lunch and ice cream on the beach. We laid down and chatted enjoying lovely sunshine. It was very relaxing afternoon and I enjoyed it very much. Except the pizza, it was disappointing. Also, tt the restaurant Italian waiter thought we were Greek, hah. My friend explained that she's Spanish and I'm Lithuanian. He couldn't believe I am Lithuanian and not from some Southern European country. We laugh it off, as usual, not the first time, went off to get ice cream, also Italian guy served us, thought I was Spanish. Dear oh dear. If only I'd learn to speak Spanish fluently and I could actually to play these kind of situations. That would be quite fun.
