I might be a little quiet, but that's because I'm in Germany visiting my family. The weather is not particularly nice, it seems Autumn has showed up a bit earlier than I would like it. I visited my grandma today, she has recently moved here from Lithuania after my granddad passed away. She has her own well decorated flat with a very nice balcony.
I met with my young cousins, I love the feeling when they run to me and jump into me arms. But I'm not sure if they like me or the presents I bring. I bought a comic book for the eldest and it seems to be a huge hit.
I'm glad to hear my cousins speaking Lithuanian a lot more than last time I was here. My grandma only speaks Lithuanian and now they spend a lot of time with her so I certainly think it helped them a lot. They might not get grammar right or form long sentences, but they seem to have little to no accent. Lucky them, I doubt I will ever get rid off my accent.

My latest big purchase is a sewing machine! I get really annoyed with clothes not fitting right, I struggle to find nice work trousers that would fit me right. I hate it when the waist is much wider when needed. So I decided to get a sewing machine and mend the clothes that I already own to fit me just perfect (if possible). I bought this bad boy on Amazon, obviously. I was watching this Brother L14 sewing machine but I was reluctant because it was not on prime and I wasn't sure when it would turn up and if it's not sent by Royal Mail, it can be a bit of problem. However I waited long enough to see it become available on prime and ever better it was delivered on a Sunday- yes Amazon delivers on Sundays now.
It's been many years since I last used a sewing machine and at first I felt like I have no idea what to do, but it seems it's not too different to riding a bike. I spent the whole Saturday afternoon sewing some of work trousers and tops that are just a bit too wide for me. I find the sewing process oddly satisfying.
I'm now pinteresting for interesting sewing projects and I hope to try some simple ones very soon. I need to buy supplies: I need pins, proper scissors, some nice materials, etc. This might have to wait until after my upcoming holiday.

I didn't go to see the airshow this year. I've seen it 5 times already and I really didn't feel like it. I could see some of the planes through my kitchen window and that was enough to be honest.
I went to see the fireworks though. We went a bit early to listen the concert. I think this is the first time we had a concert at the Airbourne. Some guy from X factor was performing but I couldn't care less. They should have chosen someone else- his songs were way too depressing. It wasn't all bad, I got some doughnuts and hot chocolate, and spent time chatting away with my friend.
Music and fireworks weren't in sync, seemed to have a technical problem. But we enjoyed nevertheless.

It's Sunday, I feel lazy so why not jeans+ t-shirt. Yes, it's Paul McCartney doing a crazy face.
Most Sunday we go to my So's parents' for lunch. It has become sort of like a tradition. This Sunday is no exception. We had kugelis for lunch and I feel very full and even lazier than before. #Lithuanianproblems.
I would love to cook more Lithuanian dishes but first I'd need potato grater machine, do they even sell it UK? I don't have space for it in my tiny little kitchen anyway. And even though I would love to eat potato pancakes every day, it wouldn't be very healthy!
I'm off to touch up my makeup and go to see Airbourne fireworks.

Purchases
1. Timotei Organic Delight Shampoo2. Timotei Organic Delight Conditioner
3. TriAcneal by Avene
4. Face Form by Sleek
I've been searching for sulfate & silicone free hair products for awhile now. It was difficult to find sulfate free shampoo, but today's trip to Boots wasn't fruitless, I bought both shampoo and hair conditioner on a deal. Bril.
I've been thinking about buying TriAcneal for awhile but I was put off by the price. It's cheaper on Amazon
and eligible for free next day delivery on prime so I decided to take the plunge. It has great reviews so I hope it will make a difference.
It's supposed to reduce the number of spots and scarring. I'll give it a shot and will post a review after a couple of months.
This is the second time I purchased Faceform. I don't do contouring, no, I think you have to have nice skin before trying contouring, but I do wear blusher and I like to put some highlighter under my eyebrows. I like the palette, it's plastic but seems to be quality and I haven't managed to break any of my sleek palettes.

I spent my Saturday catching up with a friend. We went to a few shops, though I didn't get anything. We had lunch at a place I like to call Granny Cafe. It was a lovely and filling lunch but it was still early so we went to see the pier or what's left of it. I haven't been there since the fire.
It looks rather horrible, just bare metal frames. We sat at a cafe nearby having our frappes looking at the pier. Many people came by to take pictures. Everyone has a DSLR these days. Since I have my Lumia 930, I don't feel like I need to carry my camera with me, I rather like the results and I'm able to shoot in RAW too.
Airbourne starts next Thursday, because of the attention fire brought, I think Eastbourne will see more people than ever.

I've had my new phone for almost 2 weeks now, so I thought I will give you a short review on it.
First things first, it's a Nokia Lumia 930. Ok, I must confess, I'm a nokia person. It's my fourth nokia in a row. I know. Last time I had to buy a phone, I was looking around but went back to Nokia. This time I had no doubts about it. I rather like Windows OS and was rather keen to try 8.1 version that Lumia 930 comes preloaded with (updates are rolling out throughout other phones now). Why I like Windows? I love the live tiles. I like seeing what messages I got on facebook without going to facebook app or what's the current temperature,I love all the changing pictures on my photos app. You can modify your start screen in so many ways, some people get very creative. I'm still trying to figure out mine.
I know windows don't have as many apps as Iphone or android, but I never felt that I'm missing out. I have everything I need. I have an android tablet and rather hated the apps as rthere seems to be so many shitty apps, It's hard to find anything good in the sea of shitty apps and duplicates. I couldn't never understand all the hype about iphone. Ok, maybe ait was revolutionary when it first came out but it's not any more, is it? My work phone is iphone and yeah I've been using it for a while and still don't get it.

Ok back to Lumia 930! I got it a sim free at Phones 4U they're the only shop stocking the white version in UK. I didn't like neither orange or green colours, thought about black but decided to go for white one instead. First thing I noticed, it's rather big and bigger than it's predecessor Lumia 925. I wasn't sure about it first, but it took me like 30 minutes to get used to it and now when I pick up my phone I think "what is this, a phone for ants???" I swear, I couldn't get back to a smaller phone. The screen looks very bright and it adjusts brightness according to light conditions. It doesn't lag and it didn't take me long to set it up, as my previous phone was also windows phone, all my contacts were on the phone as soon as I signed into my windows live account.
One of the reasons I wanted this phone is it's 20MP camera. Do I love it. When you take a photo, it saves both a high res picture and lower res for sharing. You can access the higher res pictures by connecting your phone to the computer or you can file explorer on your phone. Nokia also has a great camera app, what I love most is that control wheel. It looks good and it's very easy to use.
The phone comes with a regular charge and wireless charger plate. I also got a £20 voucher for apps, a matching speaker, treasure tag and a wireless charging plate. All that is worth £150.00. Not that bad at all, however this promotion is now over.
Drawbacks- price tag & tends to overheat though overheating seems to be less a problem now. Another thing is that you cannot expand memory. Overall, I'm super happy about my phone.

My colleagues are training for a walk challenge, I joined them on one of their walks. We drove to Butts Lane and walked to Jevington. It's much closer than I expected, the views are wonderful and it was quite lovely evening. We had dinner at Eight Bells pub, the choice of food was disappointing and the food itself was even more so. Oh well!..
Jevington itself seemed to be a very quite, beautiful place. By the time we walked back to the car, the sun was already very low. That just reminds me that summer is ending very soon and soon the evenings will be very short.

I still find it hard to believe it. My colleague send me a picture of a pier burning without any comment, I couldn't believe it. I thought it can't be Eastbourne pier, can it? I showed it to others in the office, we went straight to the window and could see the smoke in the distance. After work, I went straight to the seafront to see it myself. Huge crowds of people, which in Eastbourne is quite rare with the exception of Airbourne.
I sat on the beach and watch it burning for half an hour. It's just mesmerizing. I feel for all the people who lost their livelihood because of this, it seems some business didn't have insurance. But it wasn't in the best condition and I'm more than certain they will rebuild it and it will be better than ever before.

Today marks 8 years since me and my SO got together. Wow, time goes by so quickly!!! We spent a lot of time part, living in different countries and all but we got through it and have been living together for 5 years. I could easily spend every day of the rest of my life with him without getting bored.I feel like I know him incredibly well and I love it, we have so many inside jokes and we don't have uncomfortable silences. We have plenty of similarities and enough differences to challenge and compliment each other.
