I spent most of my Saturday in Alfriston with a couple of friends. I've been here before but they haven't. It's a quaint English village and worth visiting if you're around. It's rather tiny but there are many tearooms, a few pubs and shops.
Wonderful views just outside the village and a couple of hiking trails too if you're into that kind of thing.
We went to Badger's Tea House. This time it was a little better, but service was rather slow and again had to confirm to the waitress that cream tea does in fact include drink, the clue is in the name.
The garden is beautiful
Cream was good but nowhere near that of Neate's Cakery which serves the best scones I ever had.
We spent hours catching up and it was great day.

A Year In The Merde by Stephen Clarke
I grabbed this book at bootfair back in September. I thought I have read this, but I having read it now, I have now recollection of it, it could be I read a different book in this series.
The main character, Paul West a British twenty-something, chronicles his year living in France while working for a company that wants to open a chain of tea rooms in Paris called "My tea is Rich". I do like those kind of "fish out water" genre books.
It is funny and hard to put it down book, peppered throughout with various observations on French culture and life. I have never lived in Paris, so I cannot relate as much but I still found very interesting, for people who have lived there this book must be hilarious.
I already bought the second part, Merde Actually, on amazon and if it's any good, I might read the whole series.

I must say, I'm not so keen on autumn. Summer is my favourite time of the year and autumn marks the start of very miserable 9 months.
I love tree leaves changing their colour but it doesn't last very long.I hate the constant rain, the cold, short days and dark ,long evenings. I miss the sunshine.

I've been scanning more old pictures from my old photo albums. This is me and my godparents in Palanga, a Lithuanian seaside resort. I will not pretend that I remember the day it was taken, because I don't. It is somewhat surreal to look at these pictures. Yeah I was there and it did happen but I have no recollection of it. And the fashion. I love the overall vintage feeling of this picture but boy you can tell this was taken a long time ago and it makes me feel very old.

My latest postcrossing postcards:
USA
Germany
USA
Malaysia
South Korea
I received them fairly quickly but 5 out of mine that I posted are still travelling. As soon as they arrive, I will receive more postcards. I love coming home after work to find a new postcard! They all are so different, I think I should get some more interesting cards to post, mine are too touristy.

I'm scanning some old pictures of mine for my mum, she was complaining I took all the baby pictures with me when I moved to UK. I was rather ugly baby. But then again, most babies are ugly.

Blood, Sweat and Tea: Real Life Adventures in an Inner-city Ambulance
is a book by ambulance technician about life in the London Ambulance Service.
The book is compiled from blog Random Acts of Reality. Kindle edition is free which is what I got after I saw a recommendation on reddit.
The book is funny, intriguing, sometimes sad but easy to read. Whether or not you had read the blog previously(I hadn't), this book will certainly keep you entertained. It is very eye opening whilst being comical and also inspiring. It is a honest account of work at London Ambulance Service, how the crews constantly put themselves in danger to saves lives. I have so much more respect for all emergency workers than before.
There is also More Blood, More Sweat and Another Cup of Tea, I will put this on my reading list.
