Still want that Olivia Burton's watch
This ring
The least but most important- new flat. If I would find a new flat and moved in by Christmas that would make ever so happy.

I finally went to see the long awaited Immitation Game.
Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, the film portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain's top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II. source IMDB
OK, I will admit, normally I'd probably skip that kind of film, I'm not really into war films, and yes, the main reason I watched it was Benedict. But hey, nothing wrong with that, right?
A very powerful performance from Benedict but that's to be expected. The film was not as heavy or serious as I'd thought it would be. Few jokes here and there, but also heart breaking in places. Turing on paper looks like a rather unlikeable character- arrogant, anti-social and a bit out of this world but Cumberbatch somehow makes him likeable despite all of this. He is quirky which was a cause of quite a few laughs, especially how he delivered a joke. All in all, a very enjoyable experience that leads to highly emotional climax.
Question is, will Benedict win an Oscar for this? Possibly.

So... I bought a new toy, Nikon D5300. I've been thinking about getting a new camera for a while and was planning to buy one after Christmas but I couldn't resist any longer and bought it. There is not much point of owning a DSLR if you don't have a prime lens, so I got 35mm f/1.8 lens to go with it. I'm rather happy but I will need time to get used to it, it is rather different to my old Lumix G2 (which I still love). I did a few shots of my boyfriend when we were out.
I didn't do that many shots because it got incredibly chilly. I hope I can do a nice shoot this weekend.

Office Space
I decided to post about this film as it seems nobody I ever mention it to have ever heard about it and that it is real shame. It's one of my favourite films, I rewatch it every few months.
Favourite Quotes:
Peter Gibbons: So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.
Dr. Swanson: What about today? Is today the worst day of your life?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Dr. Swanson: Wow, that's messed up.
Bob Porter: Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately.
Peter Gibbons: I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob.
Bob Porter: We're gonna be getting rid of these people here... First, Mr. Samir Naga... Naga... Naga... Not gonna work here anymore, anyway.
Bill Lumbergh: Hello Peter, whats happening? Ummm, I'm gonna need you to go ahead come in tomorrow. So if you could be here around 9 that would be great, mmmk... oh oh! and I almost forgot ahh, I'm also gonna need you to go ahead and come in on Sunday too, kay. We ahh lost some people this week and ah, we sorta need to play catch up.
Michael Bolton: Peter, you're in deep shit. You were supposed to come in on Saturday. What were you doing?
Peter Gibbons: Michael, I did nothing. I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything that I thought it could be.

Office Space is a 1999 American comedy film written and directed by Mike Judge. Satirizing work life in a typical mid-to-late-1990s software company, it focuses on a handful of individuals fed up with their jobs and stars Ron Livingston, Jennifer Aniston, Gary Cole, David Herman, Ajay Naidu, and Diedrich Bader. source
Office Space is a great satire of the office culture that echos the absurdities of the world we live in. It's an older film and I'm not usually into old films, but this is a must see. I work in an office and it's startling how true this film is.It isn't essential to have worked in an office to enjoy this film, but based on my experience you perceive it rather differently before & after having worked in the office. It was a tad funnier before it became my life. Lets not fool ourselves, modern 9-5 work is rather dreadful and this probably explains why it resonates with people who have suffered bureaucratic bullshit and arbitrary rules at some point in their working lives.
My favourite bits: Bill Lumbergh, the soundtrack and the printer scene.

The Pretty One
Amazon kept suggesting me to watch this film but I was dismissing, thought it was not one those chic flicks. I gave up and thought yeah, lets watch it. It was not what I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Amazon listed as a comedy, it's not, it would be more accurate to say it's a dramedy.
Plot: "A tragedy presents Laurel with the chance to reinvent herself as her idolized twin sister, Audrey. As she eases into the life she has always wanted, she must decide between continuing the lie or revealing herself as the perfect fraud."
It is very quirky and if that's your thing, you're going to love it, but if not, you will probably hate it.The premise may be somewhat ludicrous and rather dark but overall I thought it resulted in a genuinely sweet and charming film but it's definitely not for everyone.

I had to go to the pier for work stuff,I chose a very good time, the sky and the sea looked amazing. I took this with my phone, I wish I had a tripod or my camera with me. It's absolutely beautiful here.

I was going to take some amazing shots of Eastbourne seafront at night but I was stupid enough to leave my memory card at home. I was rather annoyed but at least I had a nice walk by the seaside. The lights along the seafront make everything look magical.
The weather has been perfectly nice until today, I could really feel the cold today, felt like it's biting my cheeks. I feel like crawling under a blanket, watching Gilmore Girls and not go out until it's April. Wouldn't it be nice to hibernate till spring just like bears do.
Last week I took pictures of a local event but I don't think I can share it here. Not that there were particularly interesting pictures anyway! I would like to take more pictures but I do not feel very motivated lately. There are lot of things I ought to do:
- exercise
- eat more healthy
- spend less time worrying about stuff
- read more often
- learn to play the guitar better
I just really need a big kick in the arse.
