Another Walk on the Downs

Sunday was such a nice day, sunshine, hardly any breeze. We went for a walk on the Downs. We only planned to walk to East Dean but then after having lunch there, we decided to go to Birling Gap, it was only one mile, so why not. We bought some ice cream and carried on to Beachy Head and then walked home. We ended up walking over 20km! I can't believe it myself now, but I still have somewhat sore muscles to remind me that we did in fact walked that far. I did not bring my camera, only had my phone, but I'm quite impressed with quality of pictures (except those that are zoomed in, those are potato quality). I'm glad I live near such a beautiful place. It almost makes up for Eastbourne being a rather boring place to live.

I hope next weekend we will have nice weather again and we will be able to do more walking. I would like to walk to Jevington and I will certainly take my camera with me.

Sunday Walk

Finally we had some sunshine, we used this opportunity to have a nice long walk on South Downs and along the seafront. Sun was lovely but the wind was very chilly, but that's nothing unusual.

We walked around 12.5km, not too bad at all. I think we'll be making this a regular Sunday activity, especially now the summer is coming and the weather is only going to get better.

Lewes

I spent my day off in Lewis with Marta. I haven't seen her in ages and it was so nice to catch up. Lewes is quite charming, lots of teashops and small independent shops. It was a nice sunny day but still rather chilly.

We went to Polish Pottery shop Baltica. So many pretty things. I suppose I'd like a thing or two, but the patterns too busy for my liking, so I wouldn't ever get full china set.

There are plenty of antique shops in Lewis, but we didn' bother to visit any of them that day.

I can't wait for the weather to get better and the trees and flowers to bloom, Grange park in Lewis is beautiful in Spring.

Cow Gap

It might be end of September but the weather is still rather decent. We had a warm and sunny Saturday and decided to go for a nice long walk on the South Downs and put my walking boots to good use. We ended up at Cow Gap.
