The company I work for held Team Challenge today which is part of "giving something back to community" & corporate social responsibility policy. We did a makeover to a charity funded centre for mentally challenged people. All South East region staff (over 50) have contributed by sourcing the materials needed and painting, glossing, varnishing and scrubbing the floors all day today. Most of the things that we used today for this makeover were donated by various companies and Tesco provided us with food. Local MP showed up just to see how we were doing.
The funniest moment was when I was painting along a window and unexpectedly saw a familiar face on the other side of the window, it took me a second to realise that it was a good acquaintance of mine , she was here helping out as she actually works for this charity.
I'm tired and I've still got paint in my hair on my skin and my clothes ruined, but the result is well worth it.

I've got a day off tomorrow and will be hunting for a christening gift for my friend's daughter and preparing the last bits for my trip. I really can't wait, I'm super excited and I hope we will have some nice weather there as it's been raining pretty much all week except today.
