It's been two years since last time I saw snow and I didn't expect to see any this year either. How wrong was I!
My parents' garden was completely covered with snow, it looks beautiful.
My parents built these two snowmen before I was out of bed! They're still children even though they turn 50 next year.
It's the day after and the snow is still there. The sun is out and my phone says it's -5c. Brr... I'm flying to England this evening, I hope it's a tad warmer there! And please no snow because England can't deal with it..

If you're wondering where I disappeared, I'm in Germany for Christmas. I spent today in Dusseldorf, mostly exploring Christmas markets. It smelled like mulled wine everywhere, crowds of people in the streets and oh so many pretty things.

Yesterday after a nice dinner, we went to see the amazing pub that is the Marine. The whole pub is heavily decorated. It's pretty magical.
The pub was completely full and it took as a while to get seats.
We had some nice mulled wine. It really has grown on me.
I will sure come back here for another drink and I hope to get a seat in front of roaring fire.

Recently I bought myself Nokia Coloud Boom Headphones. Up till now, I've been using crappy cheap earphones and I wanted something a little better and I need it a microphone to be able to answer phone calls.
These headphones caught my attention a while ago, I was really attracted to the bold, yet simple design. I'm no audiophile so I can't tell you how they compare to the likes of more serious stuff like Sennheiser, but so far I'm very happy. They're not noise cancelling but I like that as I can still hear train announcements when I travel for work.
Having always used earphones, switching to headphones I discovered something I never thought about- they do keep your ears warm. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

Christmas
I cannot
say I'm particularly excited about Christmas. Not just yet anyway. I'm not one
of those people who keep countdown to Christmas or start buying presents well
before December. I flinch at the site of Christmas decorations before December.
Or hearing the same old Christmas songs on radio for weeks and weeks.
It's not
that I do not care about Christmas, it's just that do we really need to start
the holiday season so early? By the time Christmas comes, I'm already tired of
it all and it doesn't feel that special anymore.
I'm
spending this Christmas with my family in Germany. I cannot wait to see Christmas market in
Dusseldorf and all the Christmas food and I especially look forward to see my
cousins' faces when they open the presents I got for them.
